Felbermayr Transports Salt Silo for Winter Road Maintenance

Felbermayr has carried out a special transport operation in Knittelfeld, near Graz, Austria, recently. A salt silo, approximately 8m highi, is used for storing road salt for winter maintenance. It was first lifted, rotated, and then loaded on to the 3 Axel Low loader for transport through the town to Murtal.
A 3-axle low-loader that was used for the transport is ideal for tall components, as its low loading height allows for maximum clearance.
Additionally, 450t and 130t mobile cranes were used to safely lift and position the silo.
