A Busy Week for the Rail Infra Section at M.J. van Riel – Photograph Gallery

Last week the team with Tim Jansens, M.J. van Riel’s Project leader for their Railinfra section, was working on rail infrastructure-related projects with Swietelsky Rail Benelux, BAM Infra Rail, VolkerRail, Edilon Sedra, and Den Ouden Infra.

  • Three 1:9 switches were transported from Winschoten to ‘s-Hertogenbosch, two of which were removed from the track using a crane we hired from Dick ten Kooster Crane Rental.
  • Six 1:9 switches were placed in the depot in Dordrecht.
  • One 1:9 switch was removed from the track in Boxmeer, and immediately transported to Venlo and deposited there.
  • The team were also able to install a new 1:15 switch in Winschoten.

Afterwards, three surplus solid road vehicle crossing slabs, Harmelen plates, were removed from the track in Winschoten, and three new Harmelen plates were transported and installed in Rotterdam. Finally, a culvert was installed under the Maas line.

Thanks go to their clients for their trust and also thanks to the colleagues in the team for making this possible together.
