Leipzig based Richter Kran- und Schwerlast GmbH has expanded its fleet with an LTM 1300-6.4. The Liebherr mobile crane is the first 300t crane worldwide to be delivered with the new LICCON3 control system.

Owner Matthias Richter explains, “In order to close the gap between the LTM 1250 and the LTM 1450, as a future-oriented company we obviously wanted to integrate the LTM 1300-6.4 with its innovative LICCON3 control system into our fleet

With its 90m telescopic boom, which can be transported entirely on public roads with an axle load of 12t, the 6-axle crane is designed for high performance at great lifting heights and steep boom angles. Tower crane assembly, antenna installation and wind turbine maintenance are ideal tasks for the 300t crane.

At the Baalberge wind farm, the LTM 1300-6.4 lifts tower components, among other things.

In addition to its technical equipment, the crane also impresses with its safety features: Blind Spot Information System and Moving Off Information System complement the standard reversing assistant and make inner-city use considerably easier. “The new LTM 1300-6.4 also cuts a fine figure visually,” says Richter happily.

The company will mainly use the new LTM 1300-6.4 for the assembly of tower cranes, infrastructure projects such as energy supply and the construction of electricity pylons, and in wind power. The crane already has its first job just a few days after delivery: it will be unloading components for wind turbines at the Baalberge wind farm for a period of two weeks. Immediately afterwards, it will head to Leipzig, where it will dismantle a tower crane under difficult conditions above a building in a rear courtyard.

Richter has a fleet consisting entirely of Liebherr cranes, with a total of 17 cranes – ranging from 60t cranes on three axles to 750t cranes on nine axles, as well as an MK mobile construction crane and an LTR 1100 telescopic crawler crane. This enables the company to operate not only throughout Germany but also internationally in the crane rental sector. It also carries out heavy and special transports, undertakes heavy assembly work and rents out loading cranes. “We chose Liebherr again because our crane operators appreciate the uniform operation of the equipment and feel comfortable with it. In addition, the service and customer support are first-class,” reports Richter. “It’s simply a great overall package!”

The Leipzig-based company has grown steadily since its foundation in 2007 and now employs around 70 people. “We offer a very wide range of services and are continuously developing our fleet – accordingly, further projects are planned for the future,” Richter reveals.
